Announcing the 2009 Science Olympiad Workshop for students and coaches

NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory

February 28, 2009

Topics:

Dynamic Planet (Earthquakes and Volcanoes)

Meteorology (Climate)

Rock My World (Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum)

A large number of the events in this year's Science Olympiad tournament have a relationship with global climate change. As one of the premier laboratories researching global climate change, we at NOAA GFDL would like to share our science with you, as well as helping you to succeed in Science Olympiad. All students and coaches participating in this year's competition in these events are invited, whether or not your team is advancing to States. Many of these topics will likely appear in next year's competition as well.
