14.4.9 Isoneutral diffusion

These variables are for use with option isoneutralmix.

•  ahisop = isoneutral diffusion coefficient in cm²/sec.

•  athkdf = GM90 diffusion coefficient in cm²/sec. This is only used with option gent_mcwilliams.

•  abihrm = Roberts and Marshall (1998) biharmonic diffusion coefficient in cm⁴/sec. This is only used with option biharmonic_rm.

•  ahsteep = Minimum diffusivity in cm²/sec used for determining the strength of the lateral diagonal terms in the tracer mixing tensor.

•  slmx = maximum slope of isopycnals.
