GFDL offers limited internship opportunities each summer for undergraduate students. We offer qualified students a chance to work with a scientist-mentor on a research project.
The lab participates in these programs:
- NOAA’s Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship Program
- Princeton’s Energy Grand Challenges undergraduate internship program
Interested students are encouraged to review the requirements for the Hollings and Grand Challenges programs and, if interested, apply directly to those programs.
For undergraduate students considering a graduate degree in disciplines related to climate, atmospheric sciences and oceanography, please see the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences program, a collaboration between GFDL and Princeton University.
GFDL offers a unique program in partnership with Princeton University’s Geosciences Department, for graduate study in disciplines related to climate, atmospheric sciences and oceanography. Click here for more information.
PostDoctoral Research Program
GFDL supports postdoctoral research through our Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences program, in collaboration with Princeton University. Click here for more information on the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences PostDoc program.
