Larry W. Horowitz

Larry Horowitz

Physical Scientist

NOAAGeophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL)

My research interests include tropospheric chemistry and chemical transport modeling of gas-phase and aerosol trace species. An important tool in my research is the AM3 chemistry-climate model. I am also developing a new version of this model, AM4, to study interactions of chemistry with climate and ecosystems. I am the leader of the Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate Group at GFDL, and collaborate closely with the Biogeochemistry, Ecosystems, and Climate Group.
